At long last, Orlando Pirates superstar Relebohile Mofokeng is set for a comeback against Golden Arrows in the Betway Premiership at the King Zwelithini Stadium.
The last time Mofokeng played was 31 days ago, on 4 October, against Siwelele FC in the Carling Knockout; and he was still 20 years old before turning 21 on 23 October.
RELEBOHILE MOFOKENG TO FEATURE IN THE BETWAY PREMIERSHIP FOR ORLANDO PIRATES AGAINST GOLDEN ARROWS?
Following Tuesday’s training at the Rand Stadium, the Sea Robbers took their bus to the OR Tambo International Airport. The destination is the King Shaka International Airport. Orlando Pirates will face Manqoba Mngqithi‘s exciting Golden Arrows in Umlazi tonight at 19:30.

Among the Buccaneers’ travelling squad was Mofokeng. Due to a minor injury and the psychological toll of knowing the club rejected overseas offers for him, the Sharpeville-born star missed seven games, including the epic battles against Saint-Eloi Lupopo in the CAF Champions League and Mamelodi Sundowns in the Betway Premiership.
In his absence, Oswin Appollis has done the business on the left wing, while Sipho Mbule, Patrick Maswanganyi and Cemran Dansin shared the attacking midfield role.
While Mofokeng was clearly spotted on his way to Durban, it is not guaranteed that he will make the starting 11 or even the bench.
A DANGEROUS GOLDEN ARROWS
In the meantime, Mngqithi’s Arrows are playing like the original Abafana Bes’thende again. They have fetched five wins out of six games in all competitions. The Carling Knockout semifinals, who are the only team to have defeated Mamelodi Sundowns so far this season, have conceded six goals while scoring 16.
A win for Arrows against Orlando Pirates could propel them from eighth place to position four, as they have a superior goal difference with six more goals scored than the Buccaneers.
