South African Forward Continues To Star In Belgium

South African winger Kurt Abrahams is leading their charge to the Belgian Challenger Pro League title as his impressive form continued.

Abrahams, 29, returned to Belgium with SK Beveren in December 2024 after nearly two years in Serbia with Novi Pazar and Sloboda Uzice.

Since joining the club, he’s become a key figure in their attack and his latest exploits saw him bag a brace in a 2-0 win over SK Lommel this weekend to move them 12 points clear of second-placed K.V. Kortrijk at the top of the table.

Since joining Beveren, he’s netted nine goals and registered seven assists in 38 games across all competitions and looks set for a return to the top-flight next season.

Abrahams, who started his professional career in Belgium with Sint-Truiden in 2017 after a succesful trial, having been on the books of Cape United prior, has also plied his trade for KMSK Deinze and KVC Westerlo.
