Liverpool are one of the most successful football clubs in the world and carry a lot of legacy and tradition.
In their impressive football history, Liverpool have won the English Premier League 19 times.
They have then won Europe’s most prized competition six times.
Only arch rivals Manchester United have won more league titles than them.
The Red Devils edge the Reds by one.
But the Mersysider’s are the English team with the most Uefa Champions League title, having six to their name.
Liverpool one of the most successful clubs ever
They are currently enjoying a purple patch under new coach Arne Slot.
Under the Dutchman, they find themselves in seventh heaven being top of both the English Premier League and European log.
That will undoubtedly make them an attractive proposition.
Now one of the people reportedly enticed to buy Liverpool is South Africa-born, American-based billionaire Elon Musk!
According to his father, speaking on iHeart Radio, Musk has considered buying Liverpool because there is a family connection.
“I can’t comment on that, they’ll raise the price! Oh yes, [he (Musk) has expressed a desire], but that doesn’t mean he’s buying it. He would like to yes, obviously. Anybody would want to – so would I. His grandmother was born in Liverpool, and we have relatives in Liverpool, and we were fortunate to know quite a few of the Beatles because they grew up with some of my family. So, we are attached to Liverpool you know,” said Errol Mush the father of Elon.
Musk wants to buy the club!
As of publishing this article Musk’s net worth is believed to be worth $415.8 billion according to Forbes.
That comfortably makes him the richest person in the world.
It is clear that should Liverpool want to sell, he would have no problems matching any asking price.
