Former Kaizer Chiefs defender Siyabonga Ngezana and his side FCSB have been knocked out of the UEFA Champions League qualification rounds on Wednesday evening.
Ngezana and FCSB were beaten 2-1 at home by North Macedonian champions KF Shkëndija, having already lost the first leg 1-0 away from home.
The Bafana Bafana defender featured for 75 minutes, as FCSB took the lead after 28 minutes but were put on the back foot again just five minutes later when Shkëndija equalised.
With FCSB chasing the game, the away side found spaces to exploit and handed the Romanian double winners the sucker punch in the 87th minute.
FCSB will now drop into the third qualification round for the UEFA Europa League, where they will face Football Superleague of Kosovo champions Football Club Drita over two legs.
