Sithole, Mayambela, Kodisang Find Net As Lorch Continues Strong Form

Posted on October 21, 2025

Mihlali Mayambela, Kobamelo Kodisang and Sphephelo Sithole found the back of the net for their respective clubs while Thembinkosi Lorch continued his strong form.

Following the FIFA international break, most players returned to action with their clubs this weekend.

Sithole sealed the deal for Tondela with the final goal in their 5-1 rout of SC Vila Real in the Taca De Portugal.

Kodisang finally opened his AVS Futebol SAD account, scoring one of their seven goals in the 7-0 thrashing of Fornos de Algodres in the same cup competition.

Mayambela scored for Aris Limassol as they beat Luther Singh’s AEL Limassol 4-0 in a Cypriot First Division derby showdown at the Alphamega Stadium on Sunday.

Lorch played a key role in the CAF Champions League, setting up Joseph Bakasu for the only goal as Wydad Casablanca edged Asante Kotoko 1-0.

Notably, Lyle Foster missed Burnley’s 2-0 win over Leeds United in the English Premier League; the Bafana Bafana striker was sidelined with an injury picked up during the recent international break.

Also in England, Luke Le Roux remained on the bench as an unused substituteduring Portsmouth’s 1-1 draw with Leicester City in the Skybet Championship.

In Vietnam, Percy Tau played the full 90 minutes for Nam Dinh, who suffered a 2-1 loss against Binh Duong.

The Saudi Pro League saw Mohau Nkota feature for 75 minutes in Al Ettifaq’s 5-0 loss to Al Hilal. Meanwhile, Elias Mokwana was on the winning side, playing 63 minutes as his Al Hazem secured a 2-1 win.

In the Austrian Bundesliga, Yusuf Maart and Antonio van Wyk both featured for SV Ried as they secured a narrow 2-1 win over Wolfsberger AC.

Siyabonga Ngezana played the entire match for FCSB, but his side ultimately suffered a 1-0 defeat to Metaloglobus Bucharest in the Romanian Superliga.

Shandre Campbell was an unused substitute as his Club Brugge KV secured a 1-0 victory over Leuven in the Jupiler Pro League.

In the USA MLS, Olwethu Makhanya played the full match in Philadelphia Union’s 2-0 loss to Charlotte, while Bongokuhle Hlongwane played 90 minutes in Minnesota United’s 2-1 defeat by LA Galaxy.

Also in the USA, Jamie Webber played the full 90 minutes for FC Tulsa as they held El Paso to a 1-1 draw in the USA USL Championship.
