However, they are not done with their transfer business yet.
MORE TRANSFER MOVES LINED UP FOR CHIEFS
Chiefs will be signing more players this transfer window.
“We’re ready for combat and certainly look to sign even more,” Jessica Motaung told SABCSport.
So, Chiefs have been linked with some big-name players such as Percy Tau, Fiston Mayele, Stanley Nwabali, Asanele Velebayi. Meanwhile, Amakhosi are PSL rivals Orlando Pirates are both linked with these big-name Mamelodi Sundowns and Bafana Bafana targets.
However, Amakhosi will NOT be signing these players.
Meanwhile, Chiefs are currently in a transfer legal dispute over two players from PSL rivals, as reported on The South African.
Velebayi and Baartman are the players who have reportedly joined Amakhosi. However, they are awaiting the outcome of the legal dispute with Cape Town Spurs over their contract situation.
AMAKHOSI IDENTIFY PRIORITY TRANSFER TARGET AREAS
Chiefs have identified the need to sign a striker.
Furthermore, Amakhosi’s scouts have been told to look for a new attacker – an attacking midfielder and a striker or two.
In goal, Chiefs are looking for a replacement for outbound goalkeeper, Fiacre Ntwari. This is because he is one of several Amakhosi players heading out of Naturena.
Finally, Amakhosi’s attack has lacked creativity and impotence in front of goal. Chiefs only managed two goals in five matches during their pre-season tour of the Netherlands. One of these came from defender, Reeve Frosler. Meaning, Amakhosi clearly needs to sign an attacker or two.
Stay tuned to The South African as we reveal the latest Amakhosi player movements – signings and departures – as they happen.
