Orlando Pirates utility player Kamogelo Sebelebele has shared how his life has been transformed by his move from TS Galaxy this transfer window.
The speedy winger, who can also play as a right-back, has made a prolific start to his career with the Buccaneers, netting three goals in seven appearances across all competitions.
His two crucial goals in the two-legged MTN8 semi-final against Mamelodi Sundowns were instrumental, scoring in both legs to help them advance to the final to face Stellenbosch.
Following his impressive performances, Sebelebele was named in the final 23-man Bafana Bafana squad for the upcoming FIFA World Cup qualifiers against Lesotho and Nigeria.
He has acknowledged that his life has changed significantly since his move to the Sea Robbers, and he credits the unwavering support from the club’s fans for boosting his confidence.
“My life has changed a lot because now the support I get boosts my confidence and I’m ready to show people what I can do,” Sibelele said as translated from Sotho.
“Obviously when you play for the so-called small teams people don’t recognise you.
“So, now I’m playing for Orlando Pirates, people are seeing what I can really do.”
The 23-year-old winger also expressed his delight at the opportunity to represent Bafana Bafana. He stated that he is determined to help the team qualify for the World Cup.
“I’m happy and excited to be here, to be given an opportunity to represent my country,” Sebelebele added.
“I’m looking forward to help the nation qualify for the World Cup.”
