Rele Reacts After MOTM Display

Posted on January 31, 2026

Orlando Pirates attacker Relebohile Mofokeng has paid tribute to both his teammates and fans alike after their win over Magesi FC at Orlando Amstel Arena.

Mofokeng put in a Man of the Match display by providing the assist for Yanela Mbuthuma’s opener just nine minutes in before scoring himself in the 41st minute as Pirates moved level on points with Mamelodi Sundowns at the top of the Betway Premiership standings.

Speaking to SuperSport TV after the match, the pacey starlet admits that they had to gun for maximum points after their disappointing stalemate against Sekhukhune United and had to unlock the visitors in order to score the much-needed goals.

“Against a low block, we will always have opportunity to play, opportunity to get touches, so yeah I think we did very well. We trained the low blocks so yeah, I think we did very well,” he said.

“We needed the three points in our first game [against Sekhukhune United], we missed our opportunities, so we thought that this game will be the game for us to fix our problems, so I think we did very well to get the three points.

“Well done to the gents for getting the maximum points.

“Our fans always come in numbers. They make it very easy for us to have confidence to keep on going. The support they give us is very great. We enjoy it and when we do mistakes they keep us going.

“They must just come in numbers and we will give them the results.”
