Real reason Kaizer Chiefs are sacking Nasreddine Nabi

Kaizer Chiefs are set to part ways with head coach Nasreddine Nabi.

The Tunisian tactician joined the club at the beginning of last season.

In his opening season, he managed to lift the Nedbank Cup trophy however his performances in the league were far from convincing.

This season however has been a whole different story! Chiefs look the part, and currently sit in the league’s top four.

Kaizer Chiefs to sack Nasreddine Nabi

According to the latest reports, Kaizer Chiefs are set to part ways with Nasreddine Nabi with immediate effect!

It was originally claimed that Nabi was to return to Tunisia due to illness in his family.

Now, new reports suggest Nabi doesn’t hold the correct coaching qualifications to sit on the technical bench for his side’s upcoming CAF Confederation Cup campaign.

It is for this reason that the club are set to part ways. Veteran journalist Mazola Molefe has broken the situation down. Take a look at what he had to say regarding the Kaizer Chiefs coach below.

In total, Nasreddine Nabi took charge of 35 matches at Kaizer Chiefs. His record stands at 12 victories, nine draws and 14 losses.

He joined the Glamour Boys after a fantastic spell at Moroccan side AS FAR Rabat.

Who’s next in line to lead at Naturena?

While it’s been far from smooth, there have been promising signs. Nabi’s ability to blood youth in at a club as big as Kaizer Chiefs has indeed been remarkable.

According to the latest rumours, Khalil Ben Youssef and Cedric Kaze are set to take charge of the team going forward.
