Pitso – How PSL Coach Humbled Me

Posted on November 27, 2025

Former Mamelodi Sundowns and Al Ahly head coach Pitso Mosimane has revealed how Lehlohonolo Seema has humbled him this week.

Seema now coaches Siwelele United FC and Mosimane visited the club on Tuesday this week, where Seema recalled how the three-time CAF Champions League winner paid for his coaching education.

“Yesterday, I was at Siwelele with coach Seema, and he humbled me,” Mosimane said on the sidelines of LaLiga and SuperSport TV celebrating 10 years of Spanish football in Africa.

“He reminded me, and told the players and the chairman of Siwelele, ‘this is the coach who paid for my coaching education’.

“Now, he’s coaching in the Premier League, right.

“That’s what you want to see, those things are more than winning trophies. Because everyone has won trophies, and everyone will win a trophy.

“When I hear my ex players talking about things we have done together, those things are humbling me.”

Mosimane has not only helped former players in the past, he continues to do so with his Pitso Mosimane Soccer Schools program, where several ex-players are now employed as coaches – with Mosimane saying it’s a great joy to see retired players doing well.

“I live with Dennis Masina, Robson Muchichwa, Gideon Noge, ex football players, Tlou Molekwane – he’s leading my program in Polokwane, Dennis Masina is leading my program in Mbombela, Gideon Noge is leading the program in Mahikeng, Robson is in Pretoria,”

“When I’ve played against, I’ve coached these players, there is life after football for them.”

Mosimane has always been an advocate for coaches and coaching education, covering course costs for several coaches over the years, including now with the PMSS.
