Pirates & Magesi Starting XIs Confirmed

Posted on October 28, 2025

Orlando Pirates and Magesi FC have confirmed their respective starting lineups for the Carling Knockout Cup quarterfinal clash at the Orlando Stadium this evening.

Following a dramatic exit in the CAF Champions League, Pirates aim to carry on with their journey in the CKC and possibly land their second trophy of the season. The Buccaneers don’t have much luck in this cup competition after they lost in the first round last season against the very same Magesi.

Abdeslam Ouaddou and his troops aim to join the likes of Richards Bay and Golden Arrows in the semifinals.

Meanwhile, John Maduka’s hope is to defend the trophy after they did miracles last season winning the trophy in their first season in topflight football.

Dikwena Tša Meetse had 10 days to prepare for this game and are well rested as they hope that might work to their advantage to eliminate Pirates for the second consecutive season.

These two sides faced each other three times in all competitions and both sides won one match with the other ending in a draw.

Here is how they lineup:

Pirates Starting XI: Chaine, Seema, Mbokazi, Lebitso, Ndaba, Dansin, Nemtajela, Maswanganyi, Appollis, Moremi, Mbuthuma

Subs: Buthelezi, Sebelebele, Mbule, Van Rooyen, Dlamini, Makgopa, Mbatha, Hotto, Sibisi

Magesi Starting XI: tbc.
