Pirates Coach On Second League Win

Posted on August 28, 2025

Orlando Pirates head coach Abdeslam Ouaddou has admitted that their Betway Premiership clash against Orbit College was exactly what they had anticipated – tough.

The Buccaneers scraped through on the evening as Lebone Seema’s goal in the 54th minute was enough to see Ouaddou’s charges pick up their second successive league win at Orlando Stadium.

The former Marumo Gallants mentor took time to congratulate his players as well as the opposition who were not easy to break down.

“Yeah, very happy. I congratulate the boys. It’s not easy to play after such a big game against Mamelodi Sundowns,” he told SuperSport TV.

“We need to go to find some resources [to analyse Orbit]. It was not easy we saw that in the first half. We were a bit tired, and we made some changes, but I have to congratulate this team of Orbit as well.

“They have this dynamic of being promoted to the PSL, so yeah it was not easy; we know that in the PSL there’s no small teams.”
