Pirates & Arrows Starting XIs Confirmed

Golden Arrows and Orlando Pirates have named their starting lineups for this evening’s Betway Premiership clash at the King Zwelithini Stadium.

Arrows head coach Manqoba Mngqithi made a promise towards the end of last season that the entire country will see a different Arrows side this season and already football supporters have witnessed that.

Abafana Bes’thende are playing an exciting brand of football and scoring goals for fun. They are currently the second highest scoring team in the league with 17 goals just one goal behind Mamelodi Sundowns. 

The KwaZulu-Natal-based side are currently in eighth place with 16 points after 11 games and secured a place in the Carling Knockout Cup semi-finals.

Pirates on the other hand dropped to third place after Kaizer Chiefs won last night. The Sea Robbers have gone seven matches without a defeat in the league; they have a chance this evening to return to second place should they win against Arrows which is something they haven’t struggled doing in the past six matches. 

There is no fixture Pirates enjoys playing than this one as they have scored 19 goals in the last six meetings and conceded only four goals.
