Orlando Pirates produced a controlled and clinical performance to secure a convincing win, reclaiming top spot in the Betway Premiership after a match in which they imposed themselves early and never really let go.
The early signs were already there, with the Buccaneers pushing forward from the first whistle and looking to test the defence, as Lebone Seema tried his luck from distance but sent his effort just over the crossbar.
ORLANDO PIRATES BUILD ON EARLY CONTROL
That attacking intent quickly translated into a decisive moment, as a foul on Tshepang Moremi in the third minute handed Pirates a dangerous opportunity just outside the box.
Relebohile Mofokeng stepped up and converted the free-kick with precision, giving Orlando Pirates an early lead and setting the tone for what followed as they continued to control possession and territory.

The dominance remained clear throughout the opening stages, with Pirates creating chances and forcing TS Galaxy onto the back foot, although they were not always precise with the final ball. Yanela Mbuthuma came close after creating space inside the area, but his low effort was well saved by Ira Tape, who was kept busy during this period.
TS Galaxy did have a moment through Seluleko Mahlambi, but Seema tracked back well to make an important block, ensuring that Pirates maintained their advantage as they continued to dictate the tempo.
The pressure eventually told again late in the first half, as a short corner routine allowed Moremi to find space and drive a low shot into the net in the 40th minute, doubling the lead. Just before the interval, the scoreline extended further when Mlungisi Mbunjana turned the ball into his own net, giving Pirates a comfortable cushion going into halftime.
The second half followed a similar pattern, with Pirates continuing to find space and take their chances more efficiently. Mofokeng added his second goal in the 53rd minute, before Kamohelo Sebelebele found the net midway through the half. Mofokeng then completed his brace in the 69th minute, finishing off a move that reflected Orlando Pirates’ overall control of the match.
