Mamelodi Sundowns continued with their unbeaten start to the 2025/26 Betway Premiership season with a 2-0 victory over Magesi FC on Wednesday night.
But the night’s biggest celebration belonged to striker Peter Shalulile, who equalled Siyabonga Nomvethe’s all-time goal-scoring record in South Africa’s top-flight era.
The Namibian forward netted his 129th top-flight goal, drawing level with Nomvethe as the joint all-time top scorer in the PSL era.
A Milestone Goal
Shalulile scored the second goal in Mamelodi Sundowns’ comfortable win after Jayden Adams opened the scoring.
While the three points were important for Msandawana, the bigger spotlight was on Shalulile, whose goal saw historic cheers ring out at Loftus Versfeld.
