Ouaddou Shares Verdict On Seema Chance

Posted on November 2, 2025

Orlando Pirates coach Abdeslam Ouaddou has weighed in on Lebone Seema’s chance when he opted to shoot rather than pass to a better-positioned teammate.

Seema could have snitched the winning goal for the Sea Robbers when he, along with two teammates, broke behind the Mamelodi Sundowns defence.

With Tshepang Moremi open in the box, Seema opted to shoot himself, a decision that allowed Ronwen Williams to make a save.

While Ouaddou acknowledged that Seema missed the chance to set up Moremi for a goal, he also stressed that the defender is still learning in the game.

He then went on to applaud Seema’s initiative in driving forward from the defensive line, and attempting to find the back of the net.

“He’s still young and he had the man of the match, congratulations to him,” said Ouaddou.

“We cannot blame such initiative to score but I think we had a better opportunity had he gave the ball to his teammate to [score].

“And we always say that as a player you have to have the same feeling when you score or when you make an assist.

“But let’s go with this result, it’s one point. We still have some games in hand and we need to win them.

“Definitely, we will not give up and we have a strong target this season. We will continue to fight.”
