Orlando Pirates manager Abdeslam Ouaddou has big praise for Oswin Appollis and has indicated what makes him different.
Ouaddou has love for Orlando Pirates star Appollis
24-year-old Oswin Appollis is now a key figure for club and country. The nifty attacker has two goals and three assists in the ongoing Betway Premiership campaign. He’s now transferred that form to the international stage, scoring in Bafana Bafana’s 2-1 win over Angola in their AFCON opener.
The 24-year-old winger has quickly proven himself as a dependable figure for Pirates, contributing four goals and six assists across 22 appearances in all competitions.
Ouaddou says Appollis is an “interesting player” with a low centre of gravity, which helps him beat opponents, along with his technical ability and ability to shift the ball between the lines.
“He is a very interesting player, his centre of gravity is very low,” said Ouaddou on SuperSport.
“He has a very good technique and has an ability to move between the lines with small steps.
“He’s also got the capacity to see before receiving the ball. That is very important.”
