Ouaddou Opens Up On Rele Return

Posted on November 5, 2025

Orlando Pirates head coach Abdeslam Ouaddou says it’s fantastic to see Relebohile Mofokeng return to the squad after his cameo off the bench against Golden Arrows.

The Buccaneers downed an in-form Abafana Bes’thende 3-1 at King Zwelithini Stadium on Wednesday evening to move into second place.

The match saw Mofokeng return to the squad after missing four games, and his coach was pleased with his performance in the final 15 minutes.

“You know he is important for the club, how we love that player,” Ouaddou stated.

“It’s fantastic to see him back in our team.

“Especially when you give him 15 minutes, he gives all his best. You see he gave the assist.

“It’s a special player for us.”

Pirates now sit in second place with 22 points from 10 games – three behind leaders Mamelodi Sundowns but with two games in hand.

The Buccaneers return to action on Saturday when they will take on Richards Bay in the Carling Knockout Cup semi-final.
