Ouaddou Issues Challenge To Pirates Players

Posted on February 7, 2026

Orlando Pirates head coach Abdeslam Ouaddou has urged his side to have a killer instinct despite them running riot over Tshakhuma Tsha Madzivhandila.

The Buccaneers were in rampant mood as they thumped the Motsepe Foundation Championship outfit 4-1 to progess to the Nedbank Cup Last 16 Round.

A penalty from Andre De Jong and strikes from Thalente Mbatha, Patrick Maswanganyi and Sipho Mbule ensured the Buccaneers’ progression.

Though they were miles ahead of their less fancied opponents, the Moroccan-French spoke of positives from the game but wants his players to be more ruthless in front of goal.

“Lot of positive things of course, the way that we controlled the game, the opportunities that we have created as well,” he said on SuperSport TV.

“But I will repeat the same things, I think we could’ve scored more and we need to be more efficient to be more killer’s instinct in the box.

“It’s very important to manage a team and to give time and to be involved everybody in the project. It was the idea in the second half and the guys they played well.

“Let’s focus for the next game now.”
