Orlando Pirates head coach Abdeslam Ouaddou has delved into how they will manage their players who will be participating in the FIFA World Cup qualifiers during the international break.
Pirates go into the FIFA break on the back of a thumping 3-0 victory over Chippa United before they face Stellenbosch FC in the crunch MTN8 final in a repeat of last year’s controversial meeting.
The Buccaneers have six players in the Bafana Bafana squad that will face Lesotho and Nigeria – Sipho Chaine, Thalente Mbatha, Oswin Appollis, Kamogelo Sebelebele, Relebohile Mofokeng, and Mbekezeli Mbokazi.
Ouaddou, who is currently in hospital after he and other technical team members were involved in a road accident, explained the importance of representing your country as play also emphasised that they will find a way to manage the players ahead of the crucial MTN8 final against Stellenbosch FC.
“We are Orlando Pirates a very big club of course with some international players, I am happy for them,” Ouaddou told the media.
“It’s life of the big clubs and we have to deal with that; we have to manage that we don’t have anything to do with that, just encourage our players.
“I hope they will give the best for their country, for the national team, it’s very important. I was an international player I know how important it is to play for your country.
“We will make sure that we don’t have any choice that’s it. “
