Orlando Pirates have confirmed that defender Thabiso Sesane and midfielder Selaelo Rasebotja remain unavailable as the Soweto giants continue to battle early-season setbacks.

The Sea Robbers have endured a rocky start in the Betway Premiership, sitting 14th on the table after two defeats and one draw in their opening three league fixtures.

They lost 1-0 at home to Sekhukhune United, 2-1 away to Marumo Gallants, before being held to a 1-1 draw by Mamelodi Sundowns in the MTN8 semi-final first leg at Orlando Stadium this past weekend.

Head coach Abdeslam Ouaddou, who replaced Jose Riveiro in the off-season, has been forced to work without several senior players.

Olisa Ndah and Makhehlene Makhaula are already sidelined, while Nkosinathi Sibisi picked up an injury in the clash against Gallants.

Sesane and Rasebotja are still out since last season, leaving the squad stretched heading into Wednesday’s home tie against Stellenbosch FC.

“Thabiso Sesane and Selaelo Rasebotja also continue to recover after suffering knocks during the latter half of the previous campaign,” the Buccaneers confirmed.
