Orlando Pirates’ fresh recruits have wasted no time proving their worth.
In just nine matches across all competitions, the Buccaneers’ new arrivals have combined for nine goals and four assists, for a total of 13 goal contributions this season.
Kamogelo Sebelebele, Tsepang Moremi and Oswin Appollis have become instant fan-favourites among the Orlando Pirates fanbase.
Kamogelo Sebelebele, formely with TS Galaxy, was the first to stand out, with three goals to his name, including strikes in both MTN8 semi-final legs against Mamelodi Sundowns and a cracker against Stellenbosch FC in the league that scooped the August Goal of the Month.
AmaZulu FC’s former winger Tsepang Moremi opened his account against Chippa United before delivering a brace in the MTN8 final against Stellenbosch. He also turned provider on the big stage, assisting Tshegofatso Mabasa in the same final.
Appollis has been Orlando Pirates’ chief creator, with four assists: one for Moremi against Chippa, two more for his brace in the MTN8 final, and another for Sebelebele against Sundowns.
Lebone Seema added to the tally with a brilliant volley against Orbit College in the Betway Premiership, while Appollis netted against his former side Polokwane City in the MTN8 quarter-final.
