Orlando Pirates Sign Tshepang Moremi from AmaZulu

Posted on June 14, 2025

Orlando Pirates have bolstered their squad with the acquisition of midfielder Tshepang Moremi from AmaZulu FC, the club confirmed on Tuesday.
The 24-year-old becomes the Buccaneers’ latest signing as they prepare for the 2024/25 season. Moremi, known for his technical ability and versatility in midfield, impressed during his time at AmaZulu, earning him this move to one of South Africa’s biggest clubs.

“Tshepang is a talented young player who fits our vision for the future,” said Pirates’ management in a brief statement. “We believe he will grow further in our system.”

The transfer fee remains undisclosed, but sources suggest Pirates moved quickly to secure the promising midfielder ahead of other interested PSL sides. Moremi is expected to join his new teammates when preseason training begins next week.

This signing continues Pirates’ strategy of investing in young South African talent as they look to build a competitive squad for both domestic and continental competitions next season.
