Orlando Pirates seal major partnership ahead of new season

Orlando Pirates have supercharged their 2025/2026 season preparations by announcing a headline partnership with Suzuki South Africa, who now serve as the club’s official vehicle partner.

The Bucs revealed this exciting collaboration on the very same day they launched their brand-new season kits, which immediately went on sale. Although the financial details remain under wraps, Suzuki’s branding will now feature prominently on the sleeve of the club’s shirts throughout the campaign.

“Isukile! We’re proud to embark on an exciting new journey with Orlando Pirates as their official vehicle partner. A new season with a partnership ready to drive the game forward,” declared Suzuki.

Pirates ride high after landmark season

Orlando Pirates head into the new season riding a wave of success. Last term, the Soweto giants made history by reaching the CAF Champions League semi-finals for the first time since 2013. Although they narrowly missed out on a place in the final after a tough away leg against Pyramids, the achievement marked a strong continental showing.

Domestically, the Buccaneers finished second in the Betway Premiership, securing another shot at CAF club competition. Their hunger for silverware didn’t stop there.

Pirates lifted the MTN8 trophy for a third consecutive time, overcoming Stellenbosch in a dramatic final in Durban. They also came close to a domestic double but narrowly missed out on a third straight Nedbank Cup. Falling to fierce rivals Kaizer Chiefs in a tightly contested final.

Suzuki joins growing list of PSL motoring partners

This high-profile partnership places Orlando Pirates alongside several other Premier Soccer League clubs that have recently entered vehicle sponsorship agreements. Durban City, newly promoted to the top flight, linked up with BMW Supertech. AmaZulu signed with Mitsubishi, Kaizer Chiefs continue their long-standing relationship with Toyota, and Mamelodi Sundowns recently announced their partnership with Cherry SA.

Supporters won’t have to wait long to see the Suzuki logo in action. Pirates will debut their new-look kit in the MTN8 quarter-final clash against Polokwane City at Orlando Stadium on Saturday, 2 August.
