Orlando Pirates news: Tito, Mbokazi, Sibisi, MTN8

Orlando Pirates will have several players back ahead of their MTN8 final against Stellenbosch on Saturday evening.

The Buccaneers missed Nkosinathi Sibisi, Deano van Rooyen and Relebohile Mofokeng in the past matches due to injury. Last week, it was reported that Patrick Maswanganyi was released from the Bafana Bafana squad due to an injury.

On Tuesday, the Tembisa-born playmaker took part in training and looked fit to play on Saturday. Orlando Pirates head coach Abdeslam Ouaddou confirmed that Tito was fit and available for selection for the MTN8 final.

“If you can see him on the pitch, it means the medical department give him the green light to be there,” the Pirates coach said as per Soccer Laduma.

“I am happy that he is coming back. It seems not to be so serious. All the time when my players are injured, I am very sad. So, I am happy that he is with us.”

Van Rooyen, Mofokeng and Tito will all be fit but Sibisi is doubtful.

Orlando Pirates might release Mbokazi

Amajita coach Raymond Mdaka has expressed his desire to have Mbekezeli Mbokazi in his squad as the team prepares for the U/20 World Cup in Chile later this month. The 19-year-old recently played for Bafana during the FIFA World Cup qualifiers and could also join Amajita later this month should he be released by Orlando Pirates.

“You know, we said to ourselves that we are without him but we are with him in spirit. I’m not gonna comment that much about that because we might have him, so you never know,” Mdaka said.

Will Pirates release TLB?
