Orlando Pirates latest: More bad Mofokeng news

Orlando Pirates have issued a fresh update on star man Relebohile Mofokeng.

The Buccaneers are fresh off the back of a humiliating 3-0 CAF Champions League loss.

They’ll be looking to bounce back in today’s crucial league fixture against Polokwane City.

The task however is set to be even harder, considering the fact that a key attacker will play no part in the match!

Orlando Pirates provide Mofokeng update

Orlando Pirates FC welcome Polokwane City FC to the Orlando Stadium this evening.

The Buccaneers will be looking to make their games-in-hand count by picking up a full three points.

In fact, a win tonight will push the Buccaneers within three points of log-leaders Mamelodi Sundowns. Orlando Pirates will also have two-games in hand on the Brazilians after tonight!

The club have however confirmed that at least three key players are set to miss the crucial match.

In an official club statement, Pirates confirmed that Relebohile Mofokeng is set to miss the clash due to injury.

Fellow first-team stars Deono Van Rooyen and Tapelo Xoki will also miss the clash.

Huge 96 hours ahead for Bucs

Tonight’s match is scheduled to kick-off at 19:30 at the Orlando stadium.

The turnaround time is then just two days before Orlando Pirates’ next game!

The Buccaneers host Saint-Eloi Lupopo in their crucial CAF Champions League return leg on Saturday afternoon. Ouaddou’s side will have to turn a 3-0 deficit around should they wish to qualify for the group stages.

Abdeslam Ouaddou will be desperate to have Mofokeng back for the crucial CAF Champions League preliminary clash.
