Orlando Pirates identify Ndah ‘replacement’

Posted on February 12, 2026

Orlando Pirates have identified a defensive replacement for Olisa Ndah, who could potentially arrive in the next window.

Pirates look at Dube to replace Ndah

Orlando Pirates have expressed an interest in signing the versatile 21-year-old AmaZulu defender Wandile Dube,” iDiski Times reported. He’s seen as a player who has the quality to fill the void recently left by Nigerian star Olisa Ndah and Chicago Fire and Bafana star Mbekezeli Mbokazi. Monnapule Saleng has also left the club permanently for Sundowns after a loan spell with Orbit College.

“The Buccaneers have been steadily strengthening their squad season after season, growing in depth and quality,” the publication added.

“Their long-term planning has been evident as they look to build a squad capable of consistently challenging on all fronts.”

Orlando Pirates gun for gold in February

Pirates remain in pole position to claim their first league crown since 2012 after a Relebohile Mofokeng-inspired win over AmaZulu. However, to say the remainder of February could be make or break for their title ambitions is an understatement. Here’s what’s ahead in the month of love, including matches against defending champions Sundowns and surprise title rivals Kaizer Chiefs:

  • Sat, 14 Feb: Pirates vs Gallants, 15:30
  • Wed, 18 Feb: Pirates vs Sundowns, 19:30
  • Sat, 28 Feb: Chiefs vs Pirates, 15:30
