Orlando Pirates have been busy trimming their squad ahead of the 2025/26 campaign, but the latest departure has caught some supporters by surprise.

Karim Kimvuidi, the 23-year-old Congolese midfielder with flashes of brilliance last season, will now spend the rest of the year at Israeli club SC Ashdod.

The move was made public by the Israeli side earlier today, even though Orlando Pirates have not issued any formal statement as yet.

The Buccaneers have preferred to keep exit announcements minimal this window, focusing instead on their incoming signings and pre-season preparations.
