Orlando Pirates have reportedly entered the race to sign a top-quality African defender!

The Buccaneers have significantly bolstered their squad up this transfer window, welcoming a number of new players.

The chequebook however appears to remain wide open in Mayfair! Let’s take a look at all of the important details below.

Orlando Pirates eyeing TP Mazembe star

According to the latest transfer reports, 27-year-old Senegalese left-back Mor Talla Mbaye is wanted by Orlando Pirates FC.

Mbaye spent the last two years at African giants TP Mazembe, however he appears to have left the club.

According to Africa Foot, Zamalek have already tabled an offer for the defender.

The same publication claims Orlando Pirates are also on the negotiation table with Mbaye!

Pirates are short on cover at left-back with Deon Hotto being the ‘preferred’ option, despite him not being a natural left-back.

Nkhosikhona Ndaba joined the club from Richards Bay and is the only current actual left-back.

Can Pirates win the league title?

After bagging his first trophy at the club, do you think there’s more to come? Can Abdeslam Ouaddou dethrone Mamelodi Sundowns and make Orlando Pirates league champions?
