Orlando Pirates dribbling wizard joins Israeli club!

Posted on August 17, 2025

Orlando Pirates dribbling wizard Karim Kimvuidi has officially joined Israeli club SC Ashdod on a season-long loan deal.

Kimvuidi, in fact, quietly left Pirates to link up with SC Ashdod last week, and he made his first appearance last weekend.

And while the move would take many by surprise given that Pirates haven’t announced anything, Kimvuidi was always expected to leave.

This is due to his continued lack of game time at Pirates since his move from Maritzburg United, now Durban City, two years ago.

The arrival of new attacking players such as Oswin Appollis, Abdoulaye Mariko, Masindi Nemtajela also meant Pirates had to create some space.

ORLANDO PIRATES LOAN KIMVUIDI TO ISRAELI CLUB

Now, SC Ashdod have sealed the Kimvuidi deal for the current campaign with an option to purchase.

Should the Israeli Premier League club be impressed by Kimvuidi at the end of his loan spell, they would offer him a three-year deal.

The 23-year-old DR Congo creative midfielder leaves Pirates with three goals and an assist in 37 official games.

IS THIS THE END OF KIMVUIDI AT BUCS?
