Orlando Pirates complete THREE deals with Kaizer Chiefs and Mamelodi Sundowns

Orlando Pirates have completed these three deals with rivals Kaizer Chiefs and Sundowns recently.

Orlando Pirates have recently completed big deals with Kaizer Chiefs and Mamelodi Sundowns.

So, 2025 will be a year to remember for Bucs, Amakhosi and Masandawana fans with rare deals taking place between the PSL ‘Big Three‘ this transfer window.

PIRATES SIGN SUNDOWNS MIDFIELDER

Pirates’ first signing under Abdeslam Ouaddou is no doubt one of their biggest.

They signed Sipho Mbule from Sundowns. He has quickly become a fan-favourite amongst Bucs supporters at Mayfair.

Since then, the Soweto giants have gone on to sign 13 more players: Yanela Mbuthuma (from Richards Bay), Masindi Nemtajela (Marumo Gallants), Tshepang Moremi (AmaZulu), Nkosikhona Ndaba (Richards Bay), Abdoulaye Dine Mariko, Abdoulaye S Mariko (both Djoliba AC), Sinoxolo Kwayiba (Chippa United), Tshepo Mashiloane (Baroka), Sihle Nduli (Stellenbosch), Oswin Appollis (Polokwane City), Kamogelo Sebelebele (TS Galaxy), Lebone Seema (TS Galaxy), Kabelo Kgositsile (Baroka FC) all signed for Pirates during the 2025/26 PSL transfer window.

CHIEFS SIGN PIRATES DUO

Paseka Mako and Thabiso Monyane both left Pirates to join Chiefs at the start of the season.

Meaning, Amakhosi secured not one but two Bucs stars this transfer window.

If anybody had said that Chiefs would sign not two Pirates players at the start of the season, I would have thought it was clickbait. Yet, here we are with two fully-fledged Amakhosi stars now playing for Pirates.

BUSY BUCS: BUSIEST IN THE PSL

The Bucs have been the busiest side in the transfer window.

To date, Pirates have released 17 players with a plethora of talent joining PSL rivals.

Therefore, Pirates have completed over 30 deals with 14 signings and these 17 Bucs departures confirmed. This is even higher than their rivals, Chiefs. Amakhosi have wrapped up over 20 deals. These 12 players have signed for Chiefs. Meanwhile, these 11 players have left Amakhosi.

WHICH OF THE PSL’S ‘BIG THREE’ – CHIEFS, PIRATES AND SUNDOWNS – DO YOU THINK HAS HAD THE BEST TRANSFER WINDOW? WHO DO YOU THINK IS THE BIGGEST SIGNING OF THE SEASON?
