Orlando Pirates coach Ouaddou confirms more bad news

Posted on August 15, 2025

Orlando Pirates and Mamelodi Sundowns are set to meet this weekend in the MTN8 semi-finals.

The defending champions booked their spot in last four after defeating Polokwane City in the quarter-finals.

Sundowns on the other hand eased past Richards Bay FC in their last eight clash.

Now, Orlando Pirates will host their rivals at the Orlando Stadium on Saturday afternoon.

Head coach Abdeslam Ouaddou has confirmed he’ll be without three key players on Saturday.

Orlando Pirates Captain Nkosinathi Sibisi misses out through injury. Furthermore, both Makhehleni Makhaula and Olisa Ndah will play no part in the proceedings as well through injury.

“Most of the players are available. We only have Sibisi and Makhaula, who are still coming back from injury. We also have Ndah who is still injured, but most players are available,” Orlando Pirates coach Ouaddou said as quoted by FARPost.

The Buccaneers have suffered back-to-back defeats in their previous two matches. Head coach Abdeslam Ouaddou will be desperate to turn the corner!

And an Orlando Pirates victory over rivals Mamelodi Sundowns will undoubtedly paint a much improved picture!
