Orlando Pirates Boost Midfield With Signing of Sipho Mbule

Soweto giants Orlando Pirates have officially announced the signing of midfielder Sipho Mbule, adding much-needed creativity and depth to their squad ahead of the new season.

The 27-year-old joins the Buccaneers after an underwhelming spell at Mamelodi Sundowns, where he failed to secure regular playing time despite his obvious technical quality. Known for his vision, passing range, and ability to control the tempo of the game, Mbule will be eager to rediscover the form that once made him one of South Africa’s most exciting young talents.

Pirates have been actively seeking midfield reinforcements following the departure of several players, and Mbule’s arrival addresses their need for a dynamic playmaker. His ability to unlock defenses and dictate play from deep could prove crucial as the club looks to mount a stronger challenge in domestic and continental competitions.

Fans will be hoping the change of scenery revitalizes Mbule’s career, allowing him to fulfill his potential in the famous black and white jersey. The move also signals Pirates’ ambition to strengthen their squad as they prepare for a demanding 2024/25 campaign.
