In recent weeks, it has been widely reported that Zakhele Lepasa was likely to leave Orlando Pirates ahead of the 2025-26 season.

Lepasa didn’t travel with the squad for their pre-season tour to Spain, and the club has now confirmed that they have parted ways with the 28-year-old.

“Thank you for for your commitment and contribution to Orlando Pirates,” the club stated on social media. “Wishing you the very best in your next chapter.”

Lepasa came through the club’s development ranks, and has featured in more than 40 games for the club.

However, he has spent loan spells at Stellenbosch, TS Galaxy and SuperSport United. It’s reported that he could now be heading back to TS Galaxy.

Lekasa has also been capped seven times for Bafana Bafana.
