Mamelodi Sundowns have confirmed the exit of midfielder Neo Maema after four years at the club.
The 29-year-old is expected to make a surprise move to Tanzanian giants Simba SC where he will reunite with his former Masandawana teammate Rushine de Reuck under the tutelage of head coach Fadlu Davids.
Sundowns announced Maema’s exit on Friday morning who is currently captaining Bafana Bafana at the CHAN tournament.
During his time at Chloorkop, Maema made 120 appearances, scoring 14 goals with 13 assists and won the league title four times including one Nedbank Cup, one MTN8 and one African Football League title.
