Siwelele Football Club have unveiled the club’s new signings ahead of the 2025/26 season on Thursday.

Siwelele acquired the status SuperSport United, but have refrained from making too many drastic changes, with Stan Matthews staying on as the club’s CEO, while Andre Arendse and Grant Johnson have stayed part of the technical team.

However, they did bring in Lehlohonolo Seema as new head coach and have now unveiled their new players during a Homecoming event in Bloemfontein.

“We are pleased to welcome Buhle Mkhwanazi, Relebogile Mokhuoane, Thabo Makhele and Wayde Lekay to the club ahead of the new season,” the club stated.

Seema worked with Mokhuoane at Sekhukhune United, where he’s been released after falling out of favour under head coach Eric Tinkler, while Lekay spent the last two years in Sweden with FC Trollhättan and Churchill Brothers FC in India, where he scored 16 goals in with four assists in 48 games.

Former Mamelodi Sundowns centre-back, Mkhwanazi, 35, joins from Highburry, while Makhele was last on the books of Chippa United.

Siwelele will start their campaign against Golden Arrows in the late kick off on Saturday.
