Orlando Pirates have announced the shirt numbers of their new signings and also finally confirmed the signing of Abdoulaye Mariko.

The Buccaneers kick off their MTN8 campaign against Polokwane City on Saturday, with several new players expected to start.

The match will also be the first official game under new head coach Abdeslam Ouaddou, who will be keen to get off with a winning start.

Ahead of the game, Pirates confirmed the arrival of Mariko from Djoliba FC, as previously reported by iDiski Times.

“The 21-year-old midfielder was recently signed from Malian club Djoliba FC,” the club stated.

“The Malian was scouted during his exploits for his club in the CAF Champions League last year – where they went as far as qualifying for the group stages albeit with a relatively young squad.

“Mariko was recently named Malian Ligue 1 Player of the Season.”

Mariko will don the 32 shirt, while Oswin Appollis will carry the 12 and Sipho Mbule will wear the 23.

All numbers of Pirates new signings:

#2 – Tshepho Mashiloane

#3 – Nkosikhona Ndaba

#9 – Yanela Mbuthuma

#11 – Tshepang Moremi

#12 – Owsin Appollis

#15 – Masindi Nemtajela

#23 – Sipho Mbule

#29 – Sinoxolo Kwayiba

#30 – Sihle Nduli

#32 – Abdoulaye Mariko

#33 – Lebone Seema
