Bafana Bafana winger Elias Mokwana has secured a move from Esperance Sportive de Tunis to Saudi Pro League side Al Hazem on a season-long loan deal.

Mokwana, 25, leaves Esperance after only one season at the club after they lured him to Tunisia from Sekhukhune United.

He racked up 38 appearances across all competitions, scoring seven goals with four assists and winning three domestic cups.

Despite concrete offers from Russian Premier League sides Pari Nizhniy Novgorod and Dinamo Makhachkala, he opted for the move to the newly promoted outfit after being convinced by head coach Jalel Kadri of their project.

Mokwana was unveiled today as their first official signing ahead of the 2025/26 season.
