South African forward Fagrie Lakay has returned to Cleopatra FC after a successful loan move from Pyramids last season.
Lakay, 28, has joined Cleopatra on a permanent deal after scoring five goals with seven assists in 28 games, helping them to the Egypt Cup title and finishing sixth in the league.
While Pyramids won the CAF Champions League, Lakay managed to hold his own and it comes as no surprise to see him snapped up by the ambitious Egyptian Premier League side.
He’s now spent four years in North African since Pyramids snapped up him up from Cape Town City in 2022, with 38 goals and 18 assists in 146 games across all competitions.
