Cape Town City have announced the renewal of Lorenzo Gordinho’s contract, keeping him at the club on a long-term deal.
The 31-year-old was set for a switch to newly promoted Durban City but both the player and the club are said to have performed a u-turn on his release.

Following the Citizens’ relegation to the Motsepe Foundation Championship at the end of last season via the promotion playoffs, the club saw a host of players leaving them as they looked to stay their careers afloat in the Betway Premiership.
City have on Friday evening since confirmed Gordinho’s stay.
