Official: City Confirm Three Exits

Posted on February 5, 2026

Cape Town City have confirmed the exit of three of their players after the transfer window closed last week.

The Citizens who have climbed into fourth place in the Motsepe Foundation Championship, just four points behind leaders Milford, have been one of the more busier clubs in the January window.

With arrivals such as Miguel Timm and Dzenan Zajmovic, City also parted with Jody As Shene, who joined Mamelodi Sundowns and was immediately loaned out to AmaTuks for the remained of the season.

In addition, Shakeel April joined Stellenbosch FC, while Tshegofatso Nyama moved to Magesi FC, with the club announcing the three exits on Thursday morning.

“We thank Jody Ah Shene, Shakeel April and Tshegofatso Nyama for their commitment and professional contributions to the club,” the club stated.

“We wish them all the best in the next chapters of their careers.”

City return to action on 15 February when they will host Midland Wanderers in the league.
