Kaizer Chiefs have announced the signing of Luke Baartman after he was declared a free agent by the Premier Soccer League Dispute Resolution Chamber.
Baartman, 19, joins Amakhosi after traveling to Johannesburg on Tuesday.
The forward was declared a free agent by the PSL DRC earlier, after the relegation of Cape Town Spurs to the ABC Motsepe League, which is regarded as amateur ranks, making his contract null-and-void.
Ahead of their Betway Premiership clash with Richards Bay, Chiefs confirmed the arrival of Baartman.
“Kaizer Chiefs are pleased to confirm the signing of another forward, Luke Baartman, making him the Club’s ninth signing of the 2025/26 season,” the club stated.
“The 19-year-old junior international joins Amakhosi from Cape Town Spurs.”
