Official: AmaZulu Announce New Signing

Posted on November 17, 2025

AmaZulu FC have completed the signing of former Richards Bay midfielder Langelihle Mhlongo on a free transfer.

The 24-year-old parted ways with the Natal Rich Boyz at the end of the previous campaign, having been with the club from the 2021/22 season.

He made 65 appearances in the colours of Richards Bay, netting one goal in the process.

Following an end of a player-club dispute with Richards Bay, he’s understood to have inked a deal with Usuthu joining them to strengthen the Arthur Zwane’s side.

AmaZulu have since announced on social media welcoming the player. “Let’s all welcome midfielder Langelihle Mhlongo to AmaZulu Football Club,” the club announced on social media.

Mhlongo is set to compete for the jersey with the likes of Hendrick Ekstein and Mlondi Mbanjwa, who are the regular attacking midfielders.
