Official: AmaZulu Announce First January Signing

Posted on January 8, 2026

AmaZulu have announced the signing of Zimbabwe midfielder Mason Mushore from Highlanders.

Usuthu currently sit in fifth place on the log, with Arthur Zwane’s men having collected 24 points from 14 matches – just four less than leaders Orlando Pirates.

The KZN side have now added their first January signing, with Mushore joining from his home country.

“AmaZulu Football Club is pleased to announce the signing of Harare-born defensive midfielder Mason Mushore (24), who joins Usuthu from Zimbabwean top-flight outfit Highlanders FC on a permanent deal,”

Club President Sandile Zungu stated: “We welcome Mason to the AmaZulu family and are confident that he will add value and prove himself in our midfield.

Mushore is a defensive midfielder known for his solid ball control and composure at the heart of midfield and is expected to provide valuable depth to the Arthur Zwane-coached side.

“I am grateful for the warm welcome I have already received. Today, Mr Zungu personally welcomed me and told me that he believes in me and wants me to fight for the team,” stated Mushore.
