Nkota Shines In Saudi Again

Posted on November 1, 2025

Mohau Nkota came off the bench to save Al-Ettifaq a point with 10 men against Elias Mokwana’s Al-Hazem on Friday evening.

The Bafana Bafana winger has had a great start to life in Saudi Arabia and is continuing to write headlines for Al-Ettifaq.

On Friday, Nkota’s side faced Elias Mokwana’s Al-Hazem, with the latter starting the game, while Nkota came off the bench.

Both South Africans were involved in goals, with Mokwana setting up his side’s 2-1 through Omar Al-Somah in the 65th minute.

However, it was Nkota whole stole the headlines, coming off the bench in the 72nd minute to score a 90th minute equaliser for his side, who had played with 10 men since Moussa Dembele got sent off in the 57th minute.

Nkota’s Al-Ettifaq are 11 with eight points from seven games, while Al-Hazem are 14th with six points.
