New update on Orlando Pirates superstar Mofokeng

Orlando Pirates fans were left worried this weekend after Relebohile Mofokeng missed a crucial CAF Champions League match.

Mofokeng didn’t train with the Buccaneers in the build-up to the key preliminary round encounter.

Head coach Abdeslam Ouaddou confirmed that Mofokeng was injured however, he didn’t reveal any further details regarding the injury.

Now, an insider at Orlando Pirates has opened up on Mofokeng’s injury.

Relebohile Mofokeng unfortunately picked up an injury against Siwelele FC.

The Orlando Pirates superstar subsequently missed his side’s second-leg clash against Lioli FC.

Now, a fresh update regarding his condition has been revealed.

“A source close to the club has, however, played down fears of a lengthy layoff, indicating that Mofokeng’s knock is “not a major injury” and that the youngster is expected to be back soon,” a Soccer Laduma report read.

Mofokeng’s slow start to the season

Relebohile Mofokeng has started the season in an usually slow manner.
