New Kaizer Chiefs signing is ‘100% perfect’ so far

Kaizer Chiefs fans sound enthused at the club’s start to the new Betway Premiership campaign, and for good reason.

New signing Thabiso Monyane has gone about his business in unspectacular fashion.

The former Orlando Pirates man is now being tipped to make the step up for Bafana Bafana.

Monyane to usurp Mudau for Bafana?

According to Goal, Thabiso Monyane is a prime candidate to play right-back for Bafana Bafana with Khuliso Mudau out of favour at Sundowns. This, according to ex-Chiefs star Mokete Tsotetsi. Monyane has started all three league games this term, with Chiefs winning all three.

Kaizer Chiefs face Sundowns next

Chiefs host Sundowns on Wednesday, 27 August at FNB Stadium with kickoff at 19:30. The Glamour Boys have started the campaign perfectly with three wins from three league outings against Stellenbosch, Polokwane and Richards Bay, teeing them up nicely for a clash with Sundowns. Here’s how their XI could look with Etiosa Ighodaro potentially leading the line:

Petersen; Monyane, Miguel, McCarthy, Cross; Mthethwa, Cele; Lilepo, Ndlovu, Duba; Ighodaro.

Chiefs’ best XI with new signings

Is Monyane the real deal?
