The Nedbank Cup Round of 32 matches will run from Wednesday, 4 February to Tuesday, 10 February 2026, marking the official start of this season’s Ke Yona.
Kaizer Chiefs began their title defence with an away trip to Stellenbosch FC at the Cape Town Stadium – and things didn’t go well for the Glamour Boys.
They exited the tournament at the first hurdle, losing 2-1.
Amakhosi lifted last season’s trophy with a 2-1 win over Orlando Pirates in the final, a victory that ended a long wait for major silverware.
Most successful clubs
Elsewhere, Orlando Pirates, last season’s finalists, will face Tshakhuma Tsha Madzivhandila (TTM) at the Moses Mabhida Stadium in Durban on Saturday, 7 February.
Historically, Mamelodi Sundowns and Orlando Pirates remain the most successful clubs in the current Nedbank Cup format, each with four titles.
Kaizer Chiefs have won the competition twice, while TS Galaxy, Bidvest Wits and Moroka Swallows have each claimed the trophy once.
