Ndlovu Reveals Who Inspired Chiefs Move

Posted on September 16, 2025

Kaizer Chiefs midfielder Siphesihle Ndlovu has revealed that his move to Naturena was inspired by his father who loves the club.

Ndlovu also revealed the move could have happened much earlier in his career when he was still at the now defunct Maritzburg United, but things didn’t work out but is pleased that eventually he gets to play for the club loved by his father.

The 28-year-old also spoke about when negotiations started mid-season at previous club SuperSport United emphasising the move was long overdue.

“This move was actually inspired by my dad because he really supports the club,” said Ndlovu.

“So, I thought it was time now that I have to make things move because it has been long overdue. Now we are here and I’m very happy to be here.

“At that time, we had to sit down and speak about it because it was happening during the season. Those talks were happening, so we had to sit down and talk and obviously put each other into the same page of which we agreed very well with the club and the move happened.”

Asked how his family feels about him being a Khosi, he expressed the family is happy for him and he knows he needs to show up every day.

“It means a lot because as I said earlier it was inspired by my dad,” added the former Orlando Pirates man.

“So now I need to really show up. I really need to give my maximum effort every day because I know how it is like when the club is not doing well.

“I’ve got handed a lot of responsibility personally and this club also brings that too, so every day is a working day for me.”
