Ndah plotting his next move after Pirates exit

Posted on February 2, 2026

‘It’s just a matter of finding the right fit for him where he will play regularly,’ a source close to the player said.

Olisa Ndah is not short of admirers following his amicable departure from Orlando Pirates, with several clubs already circling for his signature. After nearly five years at the Buccaneers, Ndah agreed to part ways with the Soweto giants after struggling for regular game time.

His spell at Pirates was also disrupted by injuries, which further limited his opportunities in the first team. Prior to the separation, both parties had been engaged in contract negotiations over a new deal, but those talks were eventually called off, paving the way for his exit.

Information reaching Mgosi Squad suggests that interest in Ndah’s services is not only coming from clubs in South Africa but also from abroad. The defender has previously been linked with a move to France, although nothing materialised at the time as he was still regarded as an important member of the Pirates squad.

“Yes, there is interest in Ndah and not just here but outside the country as well. It’s just a matter of finding the right fit for him where he will play regularly. That’s the most important thing for him at the moment,” a source close to the player said.

The 28-year-old joined Pirates in 2021 and quickly established himself as a fan favourite. According to those close to the defender, he could secure a new home even before the season ends, with Ndah available as a free agent.
